There's an old Baz Luhrmann song from the '90s that says: „Don't congratulate yourself too much... Your choices are half chance. So are everybody else’s.“
Well, chances to finish Law school are less than half, so each of you promoted yesterday (including our colleague Iva Ljubić!) can be really proud of yourselves!
Law school is difficult for many legitimate reasons, but also for many unnecessary ones. However, the first ones build your knowledge and the second ones your character.
May you bring the new energy to our profession and hope one of you will hold a motivational speech to younger colleagues in this very same University of Zagreb, Faculty of Law yard!
